Product Description: Constructed from the supreme American species of cherry wood, grown in the Cumberland Gap of the Appalachian Mountains, this hearty frame is finished in a dark grey-washed stain for a more weathered, rustic aesthetic and features a smooth finish. The natural grains of the wood are very fine, straight and unpronounced, though the patterns are visible enough to spotlight the frame’s natural hardwood beauty.

With its 1⅝-inch rabbet, this frame is well suited for floating works on stretched canvas. We automatically add a ¼-inch gap between the canvas and frame in order to create the “floating” appearance. This frame is not compatible with works on paper.
