COVID-19: A Company Update

March 16, 2020

Dear American Frame Customers:

Always at American Frame, the health and welfare of our customers and employees is most important to us.

As an ethics-first, socially responsible company, we take the potential impact of the coronavirus very seriously.

On March 9, 2020, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine declared a state of emergency to protect the well-being of all Ohioans from the dangerous effects of COVID-19. He also encouraged Ohio businesses like ours to begin implementing strategies to further help minimize the risks associated with the coronavirus.

Prior to his directive, we’d begun implementing the Center for Disease Control’s recommended steps to prevent illness including not shaking hands; washing hands frequently and properly; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; and encouraging employees who experience cold or flu symptoms to stay home, or work from home, if possible.

We’ve also instituted daily management team get-togethers to keep everyone here at American Frame apprised of news and additional, potentially helpful information.

Customers who visit our showroom at our Maumee, Ohio headquarters for in-person consultation: We ask that you instead use our online Art Assistant service as much as possible for project planning and design. For the time being, shipping charges incurred for samples will be waived.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19, we have closed our showroom to the public for the foreseeable future.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

We’re well aware of the potential effects closing our plant temporarily would have on you, our customers, should we need to do so to protect our employees. We’ve prepared for such an eventuality with additional inventory, and are taking the proper steps to fully prepare for a possible temporary halt in production.

Again, we at American Frame take this situation very seriously. We will continue to keep you apprised, through our social media channels, of the steps we take as a company. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us. For now, our business is proceeding as usual.

Most sincerely,

Laura Jajko
President

P.S. My father, who founded American Frame in 1973, had a favorite quote: "Out of crisis always comes opportunity." We hope that during these trying times, you take the opportunity to use your creativity – drawing, painting, writing poetry, reading, watching a film, whatever your passion is – for its profound ability to help and to heal.

Be well.
