Acrylics, glazing, plexiglass: Five clear choices to protect your artwork.

Most all of the world’s most prestigious museums and galleries use acrylic (a.k.a. “glazing,” “plexiglass”) to protect and preserve their most important works. Acrylic is lightweight, shatterproof, acid-free, and prevents harmful substances from damaging artwork.

At American Frame, we wholeheartedly believe in the importance and value of offering exceptional picture framing supplies for custom frames. That includes these five acrylic options, all suitable for professional framing as well as discerning DIY-ers.
