Socializing Your Online Art Gallery

So, you’ve created a gallery and now what do you do? Well, you could let it rest, but then what good does that do? With all the art work proliferating online, it’s good to make some effort to stand out. But how? Here are some simple, straightforward ideas to get you started.

• Enter our Featured Artist Contest - The voting process itself involves sharing your work for all to see. Then, if you win, along with a nice cash prize, we will promote your gallery for you via social media, press releases, artist interviews, and a permanent spot in our Featured Artist Gallery.

• Use the “Connect With Me At:”  area in the art gallery to drive people to your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or other social media page or if preferred, a blog or website.  Then drive people back to your art gallery via the same social media outlets by posting pictures and links where your audience can buy your art. You basically create a multi-link path to and from your gallery, all around the web. Hint: the search engines rank such pages higher than unlinked pages

  • Our new social sharing buttons make this easy. Pin, tweet, share on Facebook and Google+ directly from your gallery page

• Use the PinIt button to pin directly from your Art Gallery or to pin a specific piece of artwork from the gallery

Use the PinIt button to share on Pinterest

In any case, we hope we’ve made it easy for you and others to share your favorite images online. Give some of these hints a try, and let us know if it helps you generate attention to your work.

I like the Facebook feature. That way my friends can link to your website to print the paintings I put on Facebook!
