Elizabeth Berman, Oceanside, CA, Various Media, 20 items in gallery Born in CA, but educated in the Midwest, I remember sketching horses in the margins of my schoolbooks at a very young age. My love for horses was insatiable. I became a graphic artist in my 20's and also studied fine art in Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Watercolors through some of my other life changes. In my 30's I returned to the horse world and began a training career that led me back to CA to train polo horses. This is where I really learned to see the horse as an art figure and after a few of my pencil drawings were seen, I began taking commissions for horse portraits in colored pencil, then later dogs and cats, and a goat named "Burrito" in oil. Disabled from a boating accident, I'm now enjoying learning oil painting and pastels with an art group that I see twice a week. I have a great son and daughter-in-law, and 3 grandsons that I am teaching art to. I'm proud to be a part of the American Frame family of artists. My website is www.DrawnToPets.com
