Framing - Printing - Art Gallery - Framing Basics: Our New Navigation
FRAMING – For your convenience, the picture framing workflow now includes all the basic components of a frame kit: a black wood frame (8411), a free Berkshire white core mat with a 2” border in our most popular white (CBW222), standard acrylic, standard mounting board and assembly hardware. The overall frame dimensions are adjusted automatically as you change the mat borders and overlap. To purchase hanging wire, go to Accessories, Framing Tools, Displaying Your Artwork . . . The default components can be quickly changed to a different selection using our search tools or can be removed from your order by going to the appropriate component tab and then pressing “none.”
We apply volume frame discounts automatically when purchasing 25 of the same size, color and style frame.
PRINTING – A highlight of our Printing option is we analyze your digital image for its optimal printing size which will have the best clarity. You may choose our recommended sizes or you may choose your own custom size.
ART GALLERY – The Art Gallery has been simplified and streamlined for both purchaser and artist. Customers select an image and customize it to the size and framing treatment they prefer. We will recommend the optimal printing size as we do at the Printing option. Artists will notice product set-up is easier. To have your images available for sale, upload your images and apply a price. We encourage you to fill out the Artist Profile, so that your customers can learn about the person behind the work of art. Advanced reporting options will soon be available to participating artists. A note to existing Art Gallery artists: Please review your galleries to make sure that your files are large enough to print clearly. Your file size should be no smaller than 15 megs and 120 ppi. With our enhanced printing, some of the existing files from our past website are too small to print with optimal clarity. We have so many fine artists on the site, we want to make sure that your reproductions are worthy of the originals and are available for sale.
