Linen Liners-
A Classic Pairing with Decorative Wood Mouldings
A Linen Liner is made from a strip of beveled wood covered with linen cloth. Historically used with oil paintings, the liner fits between your artwork and the frame providing both a pleasing and practical alternative to matting. Classically paired with decorative wood moldings when framing oil & acrylic paintings and canvas prints, our linen liners are offered in two widths -¾” & 1 ¼” - in natural and white.
To order a Linen Liner with your frame, simply click on any of our wood frames on the homepage. This will take you into our wood frame workflow. On the next screen scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the option “Frame My Own Artwork with Linen Liners.” Now click on “Find Linen Liner Frames.” You will then be in the workflow for selecting frames with a rabbet depth of at least ¾” required for the use of a linen liner.
Select your frame and click on the “liner” tab at the top right to choose your linen liner. Enter your artwork size. The calculating for the frame size is done for you. Click “Preview” and then “Add to Cart.”
