Dear Dad,
Father’s Day is always special, as are birthdays. Now, imagine this: Ron Mickel, our dad and the founder of American Frame, is celebrating his birthday today, Father’s Day.
If that isn’t enough, 2013 marks the 40th anniversary of our company. Yes, at the age of 40 our father set up saws in our family garage for his custom frame cutting operation. Look at him today, 40 years later. He is amazing.
So, not surprisingly, we have a lot of celebrating to do. But before we start, we’d like to share something special with you, our loyal customers.
We’ve produced a video that tells the American Frame story. And what a story it is. Our Dad began with a single, focused idea: There had to be a better, simpler, and less expensive way to custom frame art and photography. His idea proved worthy, sparked an industry, and continues to evolve in ways he never predicted.
But it’s more than an American business success story. It’s a family story, because we are a family business. Our father gave us, his children, the opportunity to be involved, and we gladly accepted his challenge. He taught us. He nurtured us. And he let us go. But he’s never far away, and he continues to be our mentor.
Now, that’s a great father.
