Although Ms. Day-Vath considers herself a painter in the abstract expressionist style, she also displays her diverse interests in traditional painting genres like still life and landscape, executed with a decided contemporary edge. Her earlier work consists of bold and colorful abstract paintings from her “Primary Colors” series, a series that also reflects her fondness for the music and memories of her original hometown of New York City.
